Patricia Smith began doing visual art in midlife as a way to carve out space in a life of practicing psychotherapy, raising goats, and caring for kids. When she was asked how she knew to make art, as though it were a calling, as though Someone had reached down and anointed her, she said, Oh, I just seem to be happier when I have a little project. Her projects have expanded over the years to include painting, sculpture, printmaking and prose. This new project has brought music into the mix, a happy collaboration indeed.
